Work Schedule: Onsite, Day Shift.

This role will play a vital part in the advancement of innovative turbo machinery technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize 3D scanning technology to prepare, scan, and evaluate hardware.
  • Conduct static stress tests, hydrostatic assessments, and CG/MOI measurements.
  • Assist in all phases of testing: setup, execution, and disassembly.
  • Execute modal testing, acoustic ring signature evaluations, electro-dynamic vibration shaker tests, and laser vibrometry assessments.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A strong willingness to engage in hands-on work and perform detailed motor skill tasks as well as heavy equipment setup.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude; electrical skills are a plus.
  • Ability to operate independently without detailed verbal or written instructions. Self-motivated individuals who take initiative are encouraged.
  • Familiarity with high-speed data acquisition, strain gauges, thermocouples, LVDTs, load cells, accelerometers, and signal conditioning.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support various sites in executing test plans.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with 3D scanning, GD&T, vibration shaker control, electro-hydraulic systems, basic machine shop operations, and modal testing.
  • Knowledge of RTCA DO-160 and MIL-STD 810 Vibration and Shock standards.
  • Practical experience with engineering equipment.
  • Adept at visualizing and manipulating 3D objects mentally.
  • A strong commitment to safety and data integrity, along with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to devise effective solutions based on solid mechanical and physics intuition.
  • Sound technical judgment and reasoning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively within a team or project environment.
  • Ability to make timely decisions even in complex situations, balancing thorough analysis with decisiveness.
