KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Efficiently manage the wheat germ handling process in accordance with established timelines.
  • Accurately assess the requirements for wheat germ while selecting appropriate silos or hoppers to optimize production flow.
  • Adjust blending equipment and connections to ensure the correct mixture and storage options are utilized.
  • Maintain precise and organized records regarding the type and quantity of wheat germ processed for daily inventory tracking.
  • Oversee the weighing, blending, packaging, and labeling of the final product.
  • Engage in effective communication with team members on a daily basis.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning of bagging and storage areas.
  • Assist in the monthly inventory checks of finished products and consistently monitor stock levels.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively.
  • Competence in monitoring both product quality and equipment functionality.
  • Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask, along with reading and writing proficiency.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts.
  • On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Mandatory safety training will be conducted.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varying shifts may be necessary.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • This role requires physical activities such as lifting, pulling, and standing on concrete surfaces.
  • Exposure to various environmental factors including noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations.
  • Working conditions may involve extreme temperatures ranging from 40 to 100 degrees.
  • Must be prepared for significant temperature changes within a single shift.
  • Awareness of manufacturing equipment hazards, particularly with forklifts, is crucial.
  • Ability to enter confined spaces and adhere to safety protocols is required.
  • Climbing ladders and lifting weights up to 50 pounds is necessary.
