Position Summary:
A prominent Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) organization is in search of a skilled and committed Wound Care Nursing Manager to operate from their Bronx office. This hybrid position necessitates a proactive individual capable of balancing both onsite and remote duties effectively. Following the initial training and probationary period, the role will entail three days per week in the Bronx office and two days working remotely. Telehealth consultations will play a significant role in your training and educational responsibilities. As the Wound Care Nursing Manager, you will be responsible for assessing, instructing, and training staff, members, families, or designated representatives on effective wound care management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and the Chief Medical Officer to formulate treatment strategies for members with active wounds, adhering to established wound care protocols.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current wound treatment plans and provide necessary follow-up, guidance, and instruction to staff and family members.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid New York State Registered Nurse License. A Bachelor's Degree is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an Acute Care environment is required. Current Wound Care Certification is essential.
- Experience in staff development, adult education, or home care is preferred.
- Familiarity with Department of Health and Managed Long Term Care standards for home care is required. Proficiency in MS Office is necessary. Strong verbal communication skills are essential for effective presentations to groups, clients, or employees.
Compensation: $105,000 - $125,000 Annually with Comprehensive Benefits
