Job Summary:

Rhode Island Energy, a part of PPL Corporation, is seeking a Product Engineering Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the utility industry, working on projects that have specific instructions and expected results.

Responsibilities:

Gain experience and exposure to practical applications within the utility industry. You will be assigned to a Supervisor and/or a Coach/Mentor, and will work on day-to-day tasks as well as a project that will last the duration of your assignment. The project may be a team effort or individual, and you will present the results to a team of company employees at the end of your internship.

Requirements:

Enrolled in a curriculum leading to a baccalaureate degree in mechanical or civil engineering from an accredited college or university program. GPA requirement: 2.5 or higher. Be a rising junior, senior, or graduate student. Eligible to work in the United States in accordance with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regulations. Able to provide an official student transcript and other required information. Able to work in a team environment. Able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Travel within the service territory may be required. Possess a valid driver's license from state of residence.
