Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned traveling superintendent specializing in commercial construction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in overseeing new construction projects, as well as additions and renovations. Experience in sectors such as dining establishments, convenience stores, financial institutions, and retail spaces is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all on-site personnel and subcontractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  • Collaborate effectively with subcontractors to uphold high standards of workmanship in line with project specifications and client expectations.
  • Manage the construction schedule diligently, coordinating with all stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
  • Engage with local building officials and inspectors, scheduling necessary inspections and deliveries to maintain project timelines.
  • Ensure a well-organized and safe work environment by adhering to WH Bass safety protocols, promoting safety practices, and addressing hazards promptly.
  • Communicate project progress and challenges effectively to the Project Manager.
  • Regularly update schedules and finalize project punch lists.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience in scheduling, material procurement, field supervision, quality assurance, and all phases of commercial construction.
  • Demonstrated experience as a traveling superintendent in commercial building projects.
  • Physical capability to assist on-site when necessary, including lifting heavy materials and navigating construction equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Proficient communication skills to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including team members, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated professional and technical competence.
