Position Overview

The Revenue Cycle Specialist plays a crucial role within the organization, reporting directly to the Director of Business Administration Operations. This position maintains a collaborative relationship with the Senior Director of Financial Operations, Community Accounting, and Corporate Operations, as well as the DBA and Executive Director in supported communities. The primary focus of this role is on revenue cycle management and accounts receivable processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the billing and revenue collection processes throughout the entire lifecycle of residents in senior living.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation, printing, and distribution of resident statements by the 20th of each month, adjusting for weekends as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and support to communities with new or vacant DBA roles to ensure complete handling of resident transitions (including move-ins, move-outs, and service modifications) before statement distribution.
  • Act as the primary contact for any inquiries or issues related to resident payments or lockbox services.
  • Lead training and support for the resident payment portal (Rent Café) and address any related questions.
  • Manage support tickets submitted through the Sys-aid system concerning the revenue cycle and online payment portal.
  • Identify and implement process improvements while assisting in the development of the role.
  • Create and maintain documentation of systems and processes for associate training purposes.
  • Assist with various projects as required, such as annual rate adjustments and new system implementations.
  • Engage in other related ad-hoc projects as assigned.



Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a business-related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in revenue cycle management.
  • Experience in a multi-site organization is preferred.
  • Prior experience in managing the printing and mailing of large volumes of statements.
  • Experience with online bill payment system management is advantageous.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with internet search tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Yardi, Modus, or Rent Café is a plus.
  • Knowledge of office equipment and troubleshooting skills.
