Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer Senior to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the scope of technical and quality engineering programs, developing effective solutions to complex challenges, and providing leadership in determining solutions to complex problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define scope of technical and quality engineering programs and develop effective solutions to complex challenges.
  • Provide leadership in determining solutions to complex problems and be recognized as having expertise in a functional area of technical and quality engineering specialization.
  • Develop QA programs and procedures and ensure compliance and effective execution of technical and quality assurance requirements within the assigned facility or program area.
  • Prepare plans including schedules, budgets and personnel requirements for solving technical and quality engineering tasks identified by management.
  • Serve on a Facility Review Board, providing QA expertise in support of facility start-up and/or operation.
  • Communicate objectives and results to customers, colleagues, and management.
Requirements
  • BS degree in technical discipline with 8-10 years of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Engineering experience in the fields of Operations, Maintenance, Construction or Industrial Manufacturing.
  • An associate degree and 10-12 years of practical experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Engineering experience in the fields of Operations, Maintenance, Construction or Industrial Manufacturing.
  • A high school diploma with at least 16 years of multi-disciplined professional Quality Assurance or engineering related experience with increasing levels of responsibility in an operations, maintenance, construction, or manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Practical experience in quality control, work control, materials management, civil/structural, mechanical, maintenance, construction, or related areas.
  • Candidate must be able to perform weekly field walk-downs of the job site for engineering work being performed.
  • Well-developed organizational and supervisory skills with good communication talents.
Work Environment

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Light to moderate lifting may be required for packages and other items, ability to walk short distances, may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
