Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned professional with expertise in fire protection engineering to support our customer's needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NFPA and IBC codes, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in fire protection positions at government and nuclear facilities.

Responsibilities
  1. Define scope of technical programs and develop effective solutions to challenges involving unique or controversial problems.
  2. Assist in teaching newer professionals and guiding their efforts.
  3. Coordinate various phases of the activity and perform development work in assigned field.
  4. Ensure compliance with technical requirements of assigned work, proper utilization and training of personnel operating under one's technical guidance, and compliance with approved schedules and staffing estimates.
  5. Demonstrate creative ability through patent disclosures, problem solving, engineering reports, technical papers, and articles.
Requirements
  • A Ph.D. degree in an applicable science or engineering discipline and 2+ years' experience, or a MS with 5+ years' experience, or a BS with 7+ years' experience.
  • Has mastered technical field, is recognized as internal expert, has depth of knowledge to tackle any problem in field.
  • Has a minimum of 10 years' experience applying and interpreting NFPA and IBC codes.
  • Has a minimum of 10 years' experience in Fire Protection Positions at government and nuclear facilities.
  • Strong written communication skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
