The University of Minnesota, Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences, is seeking part-time, temporary instructors to teach day or evening classes. This is an occasional need, and applications will be considered for potential openings during the 2023-2024 academic year.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate or graduate students in assigned course(s)
- Hold office hours to assist and advise students
- Participate in relevant departmental meetings
- M.A. degree from an accredited institution in Speech-Pathology and certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Doctor of Audiology and certification in Audiology (CCC-A)
- At least two years of professional experience beyond the Clinical Fellowship Year in a hospital or school setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- College-level teaching experience and supervision of students in a clinical setting
- Previous experience providing educational experiences to health care providers regarding dysphagia
The Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences offers internationally recognized programs in Speech-Language Hearing Sciences (BA, Ph.D.), Speech-Language Pathology (M.A.), and Audiology (Au.D.). The department hosts a Bilingual Multicultural Emphasis Certificate Program for graduate students in speech-language pathology and audiology.
