Job Summary:

The Assistant Restaurant Manager works closely with the General Manager to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant. This role is a key component in ensuring success in the following areas:

  • Financial management through cost control, labor management, and maintenance
  • Back of House and Guest Experience operations
  • Leadership and team development
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales growth and foster an environment of exceptional service and hospitality
  • Provide effective training for all team members
  • Execute operational systems daily to ensure a clean, organized restaurant, prepared to deliver quality food and service
  • Maintain high standards of service throughout the operational day by demonstrating leadership by example
  • Perform coaching and discipline for actions that do not meet Zaxby's standards and execute disciplinary documentation for all team members who fail to meet expectations
  • Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards
  • Open and/or close the restaurant, leading the shift as a key holder
  • Assist in the interviewing and hiring process for new team members
  • Utilize management tools to keep neat, accurate, and current records
  • Ensure all team members are knowledgeable of the policies and procedures by constantly asking questions, testing, and monitoring their performance and giving timely feedback
