Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Senior Tax & Accounting Manager with a CPA designation to join our firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation and review of federal and state tax filings for various entities including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations.
  • Conduct compilation and review engagements, ensuring accurate financial statements and reports.
  • Lead advanced tax research initiatives and develop detailed memoranda.
  • Utilize tax knowledge to identify potential issues and engage in strategic tax planning.
  • Provide exceptional tax services and guidance to clients.
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively, managing multiple projects effectively.
  • Serve as project manager for special assignments as directed by management.
  • Mentor and train junior staff within the department.
  • Draft and refine client communications, reports, and other deliverables.
  • Engage in networking and business development efforts on behalf of the firm.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of tax experience in public accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in the process of obtaining certification.
  • Authorization to work in the USA.
  • Proficient in tax preparation and workflow software, with preference for Prosystem fx Tax, Sage/Peachtree, and QuickBooks Online, along with strong Excel capabilities.
  • Experience with tax research software, particularly BNA.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong research, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and lead a service team.
  • Consistently exercise sound judgment in various situations.
Compensation and Benefits:

Salary and bonuses will be based on experience and performance.
