School-Based Occupational Therapist Job Opportunity

Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our school team. This role involves providing occupational therapy services, conducting assessments, and developing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Comprehensive Evaluations: Perform thorough occupational therapy evaluations to assess students' functional and educational needs.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs to support students' progress.
  • Collaborate with School Staff: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
  • Provide Therapy Services: Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address students' occupational therapy needs.
  • Document Services: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Contribute to setting educational goals for students and participate in IEP meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy: A master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program is required.
  • State Licensure: Valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an OT is necessary.
  • Experience in School Setting: Prior experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills are essential.
