About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at The George Washington University Hospital. As an Occupational Therapist in the NICU, you will play a critical role in helping our smallest patients achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients in the NICU, including assessment, treatment, and education
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address patients' needs and goals
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Experience working in a NICU or pediatric setting
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt to changing priorities
