Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with physician orders, utilizing therapeutic procedures to address deficits in self-care skills and daily living abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating patient needs and goals.
  • Conduct thorough functional assessments, including home and vocational needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans, ensuring accurate and timely records.
  • Supervise and instruct Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants in treatment procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain current knowledge of community resources.
  • Adhere to Vertis Therapy's policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy or Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy with five years of direct practice experience.
  • Current license/certification in the state of practice.
  • Prefer current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adequate computer skills for documentation and job duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess patient needs and develop comprehensive plans of care.
