General Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our Merrillville hotel team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including financial performance, guest satisfaction, and employee engagement.

About the Role
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, with a proven track record of success in leading high-performing teams.
  • A bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with employees, guests, and external partners to achieve our goals.
Responsibilities
  1. Foster a positive and productive work environment that promotes employee engagement, development, and retention.
  2. Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
  3. Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring that every guest has an exceptional experience.
  4. Analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  5. Cultivate strong relationships with local business leaders, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote our brand and build partnerships.
Requirements
