About the Role
RenoSolar is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Site Surveyor to play a crucial role in our renewable energy projects. As a Solar Site Surveyor, your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive site assessments, gathering data, and analyzing information to ensure the successful design and implementation of solar energy systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform solar site assessments for potential customers using a smartphone and surveying equipment, ensuring timely completion and accurate data upload.
- Switch on the solar system after installation is finished and gather feedback from the customer to ensure satisfaction.
- Efficiently manage your schedule to complete multiple time-sensitive tasks daily, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Occasionally, obtain necessary permits and arrange inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Examine land boundaries and property lines by researching previous land records, legal descriptions, survey records, land titles, and other documentation to ensure accurate site assessments.
- Produce documentation for official property boundaries for plots, deeds, leases, and other legal documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Stake clearing boundaries and reference points on-site, check as-built conditions, and perform layout work to ensure precise site measurements.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb a ladder and work on a steep sloped roof.
- Willingness to use safety equipment per protocol.
- Ability to work in attics and maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to maintain continual improvement and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Willingness to work outside during all four seasons of the year.
- Travel with company vehicle, required.
- Good vehicle background and driver's license, required.
- Experience in construction and/or roofing, preferred.
