Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assisting veterinarians with medical procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients, utilizing anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
- Triage emergency cases, obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
- Perform digital radiography, utilizing proper technique and positioning patients.
- Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting veterinarians to changes and issues.
- Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
- Calculate medical math, administering medications via appropriate routes and duration.
- Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
- Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
- Mentor and train other coworkers, demonstrating patience and empathy when addressing client concerns.
