Job Summary

This leadership role is a key part of our team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. As a Registered Nurse with Ochsner Health, you will effectively delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members, assume accountability for quality patient outcomes, and demonstrate sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions.

This position requires a strong understanding of nursing principles and practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
  • Effectively use the Nursing Process in the delivery of patient care
  • Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient needs
  • Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources properly, serving as a leader and partner on the Interdisciplinary Team
  • Utilize data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change, achieving optimal patient outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current RN license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Strong computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval of patient information
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
What We Offer

Ochsner Health offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off.
