Job OverviewCenturion Forensic Health Services is proud to partner with the Connecticut Judicial Branch to provide comprehensive forensic and mental health services to the Court Support Services Division Alternative in the Community (AIC) programs. We are seeking a full-time Intervention Specialist to join our team at the New Haven Alternative in the Community office located in New Haven, Connecticut. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

As a Forensic Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing, planning, and facilitating group sessions using curriculum-based interventions. You will work with clients to enhance their ability in concrete problem-solving, demonstrate positive reinforcement of pro-social alternatives, and other skill-building exercises. Additionally, you will maintain all aspects of documentation and data tracking consistent with quality assurance expectations.

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years' experience in social services, criminal justice, or a related field
  • Experience with individual and group facilitation and group dynamics
  • Education may be substituted with experience on a year-for-year basis
  • Strong communication and engagement skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable

Available shift: Monday-Friday, 3 days/week 8:30am-5:00pm and 2 days/week 11:30am-8:00pm
