Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Framing Specialist at Michaels. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, creating memorable framing solutions, and maintaining a safe and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Provide courteous and helpful service to customers, assisting them in finding products and offering solutions.
    • Ensure a positive shopping experience by maintaining a clean and clutter-free store environment.
  • Framing and Encasement
    • Operate framing equipment and glass cutters to create custom framing solutions.
    • Meet sales and production targets by delivering high-quality framing products on time.
  • Store Maintenance
    • Maintain the framing department and other assigned areas, ensuring they are organized and well-stocked.
    • Participate in inventory management and restocking processes.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales and customer service goals.
    • Support store initiatives and programs, including loss prevention and safety protocols.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Participate in cash handling and operate a cash register according to company standards.
    • Assist with omnichannel processes and customer inquiries.

Requirements

  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Basic Measuring Skills
  • Ability to Operate Framing Equipment and Glass Cutters

Preferred Qualifications

  • Retail Experience
  • Experience Selling Products and/or Services to Customers

Work Environment

  • Public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas.
  • Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled.
  • Some outdoor work may be required for tasks such as retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks.
