Job Overview

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of clinical leadership experience as a Director of Nursing in a Skilled Long-Term Care setting. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting pre-visit conferences with administrators and directors of nursing
  2. Reviewing areas of concern, including environmental issues, resident and family complaints, survey findings, and facility-reported state data
  3. Performing facility rounds with DONs, unit managers, medical directors, and others as needed
  4. Assisting in the implementation and evaluation of effective Quality Improvement (QI) programs
  5. Collecting and analyzing data for risk assessments and reporting purposes
  6. Providing education and training to maximize resident and staff safety
Requirements

To be considered, candidates must possess:

  • A registered nurse license in good standing in the State of Texas
  • Three to five years of clinical leadership experience as a DON in a Skilled Long-Term Care setting
  • Multifacility consultation and/or management experience highly preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance
  • Proven written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Management experience working in high-acuity/high medicare census settings is a requirement
  • The ability to travel extensively within a specified territory, including some overnight travel
  • Consent to pre-employment background screening, licensure verification, and company driver insurance qualification
