Job Title: Litigation Paralegal

AGG Legal Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in San Francisco or Sacramento office. As a key member of our litigation team, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys in the preparation and management of complex litigation cases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough document searches and research on e-Discovery databases, LexisNexis, and the Internet to support case preparation.
  • Organize and coordinate document productions, including bates-stamping, redaction, duplication, and indexing of documents.
  • Create and maintain internal case databases, including importing and exporting documents, searching for documents, running productions, and analyzing data.
  • Prepare for depositions by gathering and preparing relevant documents, organizing exhibits, and summarizing deposition transcripts.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal secretaries to prepare and file court documents.
  • Act as a liaison between internal departments and outside vendors to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Oversee the progress of documents through litigation, order transcripts and medical records from third-party entities, and fulfill requests from outside counsel and others.
  • Prepare for and attend trials and arbitrations, organizing exhibits, files, and supporting documents, coordinating trial logistics, and assisting attorneys in the courtroom.
  • Handle electronic presentation of exhibits and discovery responses.
  • Discovery: Organize documents, review, analyze, and summarize discovery responses, and respond to discovery requests.
Requirements and Expectations:
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of litigation experience.
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved school is required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and litigation software applications, including Casemap, Textmap, Relativity, Adobe Professional, and Sanction (or Trial Director).
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Familiarity with Worldox or similar document management systems.
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
  • Adept at working independently or as part of a team to provide timely service to attorneys.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with attorneys and legal personnel at all levels.
