Position Overview:

VPG Enterprise is in search of a skilled Construction Project Supervisor. This role is pivotal in managing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct interviews and select site personnel.
  • Review and approve employee timecards and leave requests.
  • Establish work schedules and delegate assignments effectively.
  • Enforce safety protocols and site regulations diligently.
Core Duties:
  • Formulate a timeline and a cost-efficient strategy to execute assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop preconstruction estimates and budgets for materials and labor.
  • Coordinate and schedule the activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, ensuring clear communication through the project foreperson.
  • Regularly assess work quality and adherence to timelines; prepare progress reports for stakeholders and recommend necessary adjustments.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and other relevant parties to ensure compliance with specifications, zoning laws, and other regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans.
  • Secure necessary permits and licenses; manage construction contracts in accordance with agreed terms.
  • Monitor project budgets and communicate any variances promptly.
  • Maintain comprehensive records related to costs and inventory.
  • Address safety violations and other deficiencies proactively.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to clarify procedures and resolve inquiries.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capacity to perform under pressure.
  • Proficient in overseeing and coordinating diverse teams.
  • Highly detail-oriented.
  • Ability to interpret and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
  • In-depth understanding of legal requirements related to construction and building sites.
  • Strong knowledge of quality construction practices.
  • Proficient in identifying and resolving issues swiftly.
Experience:
  • A minimum of ten years in the construction industry is essential.
  • Experience with federal and government contracts is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to navigate all construction site areas in various weather conditions.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Must pass criminal, drug, and driving screenings.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
