We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Sprinkler Fitter to join our team at KE Gutridge LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial special hazard suppression systems.

Job Description

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals with a strong passion for fire protection and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. As a Fire Protection Sprinkler Fitter, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing installation, testing, inspections, and repairs to various types of fire protection systems and equipment.
  • Studying and understanding blueprints, graphics of buildings, and structures to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Maintaining a high level of attention to detail and thorough knowledge of piping systems, equipment, and materials used in the fire protection industry.
  • Ensuring compliance with company and customer safety policies and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude when interacting with customers and the public.

Competencies Required:

  • Care and Use of Equipment: Ability to perform routine maintenance and operations checks on job-related equipment.
  • Time Management: Effective time management skills, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with customers, meeting their expectations and requirements.
  • Work Quality: Commitment to delivering high-quality work, minimizing errors, and ensuring efficient workflows.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information to colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Preferred Education: High School diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized apprenticeship program; OSHA 30 or 10 certification; possession of sprinkler/standpipe systems, backflow, fire alarm, and portable fire extinguisher certifications.
  • Preferred Experience: At least 3 years of experience in commercial construction; working knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft products.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on education and experience)
