Customer Service Representative Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and supporting the needs of our clients at Hawk Advisers. This entry-level position is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a professional atmosphere with a winning team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain personal lines accounts, including customer service requests, in-bound/out-bound calls, and in-person customer interactions.
  • Work with insurance companies to facilitate information, fulfill agency obligations, and streamline customer communications.
  • Pull account history, source public records, and prepare accounts for underwriting.
  • Distribute policy documents and carrier correspondence.
  • Troubleshoot billing issues and assist with premium payments.
  • Remarket accounts, conduct coverage reviews, and process change requests.
  • Maintain MIS client files and ensure proper documentation.
  • Respond to client inquiries, incoming emails, and company requests.
  • Review items to be processed to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare billing following agency credit and collections policies.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in courses for insurance/sales skills.
  • Maintain current knowledge of carrier underwriting requirements.
  • Stay current with industry trends by reading relevant journals and company bulletins.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by management.
  • Support and incorporate company mission and core values.
  • Excel in a team atmosphere and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications & Education
  • Two-year associate college degree required; four-year college degree preferred.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of insurance.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise operating in electronic environments.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and risk management techniques.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of self-motivation and self-direction.
  • Proven expertise and skills in customer service.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
