Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a Psychiatric LPN, you will play a vital role in providing individualized patient care and supporting the Registered Professional Nurse in delivering high-quality services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Registered Professional Nurse in providing individualized patient care, utilizing the nursing process to ensure effective treatment and support.
  • Provide basic life support measures, including CPR and first aid, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills.
  • Meet the minimum education and work experience requirements, including a high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an approved School of Practical Nursing, and previous hospital or nursing home LPN experience.
Requirements
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Vermont, or as stated in Title 25, V.S.A., Chapter 27, #1555.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of customer groups.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
