Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Tax Collector to join our team at Eco-Life Employment Group. As a Property Tax Collector, you will serve as a point of contact for customers, providing them with delinquent balances and responding to inquiries regarding payment instructions and exemption information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with clients and other Harris County divisions to resolve delinquent balances.
  • Provide excellent customer service, utilizing de-escalation techniques to resolve issues.
  • Perform daily collector and administrative duties, maintaining operational standards and production objectives.
  • Track correspondence sent, received, or requiring further action in the case management system.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of relevant customer service experience and six (6) months' relevant call center and/or collections experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to speak clearly and correctly and listen effectively.
  • Good analytical, organization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be open to change.

Working Conditions:

The position mostly requires sitting in an office environment, occasionally some standing, and light lifting, such as three or four reams of paper or books (up to 20 pounds or an equivalent weight) may be required.
