Join Mercedes-Benz U.S. International as a Procurement Systems Support Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our procurement team in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. As a Procurement Systems Support Intern, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support National Commodity Specialists in the purchase of non-production materials
  • Create price sheets, cost breakdowns, and comparison tools in Excel
  • Develop and maintain the Supplier Database and Contract Management System
  • Negotiate contract terms with suppliers under the direction of National Commodity Specialists
  • Collaborate with internal business partners, suppliers, and National Commodity Specialists to ensure seamless communication
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a relevant field of study (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Finance/Controlling, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Legal, Procurement, or related area)
  • Fluent English (oral and written)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • High degree of motivation, initiative, and engagement
