Position: Senior Cost Accountant (Direct Hire)

Location: On-site

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000

Role Summary: As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will play a vital role in assisting the Controller and Manager with comprehensive accounting operations, including journal entries, financial closing, and the preparation of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including the review and three-way matching of vendor invoices while resolving discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with clients to address billing discrepancies.
  • Compile and prepare monthly sales reports.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new vendors and the issuance of necessary documentation.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of precise financial statements and reports.
  • Contribute to annual audit processes.
  • Participate in the annual budget preparation.
  • Analyze variances from budget and forecasts.
  • Assist in forecasting to accurately project revenues, expenses, and cash flow.
  • Establish and evaluate inventory costs.
  • Review and communicate job and product costing.
  • Provide financial analysis as required.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with accounting ERP systems is essential.
