Community Integration Case Manager

Our mission is to advocate for the rights and needs of those in forced or voluntary migration, ensuring their transition to a dignified life.
PROGRAM SUMMARY
The Preferred Communities initiative is designed to facilitate the successful resettlement and integration of particularly vulnerable groups of newly arrived refugees. The Case Manager will play a crucial role in connecting clients with essential medical, social, educational, and other resources, while also enhancing the capabilities of the Field Office and the surrounding community to support this demographic.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate intensive case management services, assessing client needs and assisting in the development of Self-Sufficiency Plans.
- Facilitate referrals to support services and programs aimed at improving clients' stability and overall quality of life.
- Connect clients with supportive community networks to ensure their long-term integration.
- Provide orientation to community resources and cross-cultural information for refugee clients.
- Ensure services are delivered in a culturally sensitive manner, advocating for clients as necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive case files and submit required reports.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, public health, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in providing case management services to refugees and immigrants is advantageous.
- Proven ability in coordinating services and developing volunteer initiatives is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build partnerships.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced work environment.
- Valid state-issued driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant database programs.
- Commitment to the human rights of refugees and immigrants.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
Completion of USCRI's Orientation and Training is mandatory, along with any additional training as identified by supervisors.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role may involve manual dexterity, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.
