We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Swedish Edmonds Campus. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized patient care plans. This will include monitoring cardiac and other critical vital signs, detecting changes, and intervening in life-threatening or emergency situations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provides nursing care to critically ill patients diagnosed with heart attack, defibrillator or pacemaker implant, or other cardiac conditions.
- Monitors cardiac and other critical vital signs and detects any changes, enabling intervention in life-threatening or emergency situations.
- Initiates and revises patient care plans based on continuing assessments.
- Includes patient teaching and discharge planning in overall care plans.
- Documents nursing interventions and patient responses according to hospital policy.
- Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and methods of implementation.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure in good standing.
- Minimum of one year of current hospital experience in PCU specialty.
- Evidence of current BLS and ACLS required.
