Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. As a CVOR RN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiovascular services.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement and evaluate care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Assist with anesthesia induction and prepare patients for local anesthesia.
- Create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment.
- Perform correct surgical preps and accurately document patient care.
- Demonstrate competency in all surgical specialties and equipment.
- Participate in staff and self-development, and assist with the orientation of new employees.
- Complete annual department competencies.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse in a hospital setting.
- 1 year of experience as a Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse - preferred.
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred.
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required as per St. David's Healthcare policy.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - per SDH policy.
