About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's Medical Center. As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our surgical services.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement and evaluate care in a fast-paced surgical environment.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe and accurate delivery of care.
  • Assist with anesthesia induction, prepare patients for local anesthesia, and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment.
  • Document patient care accurately and report any concerns or issues to the team.
  • Participate in staff and self-development, and assist with the orientation of new employees.
Requirements
  • 1 year of RN experience in the Operating Room, with hospital experience highly preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required as per St. David's Healthcare policy.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification per SDH policy.
