Position Overview:
Morris Midwest, a regional distributor specializing in CNC machine tools, tooling, accessories, and related engineering support, is in search of a motivated and detail-oriented Parts Coordinator. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with a dynamic company in a rapidly evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough research on part specifications and validating them against equipment bills of materials.
- Obtaining competitive quotations from various suppliers and presenting formal quotes to clients.
- Inputting orders into our database and monitoring them for customer updates.
- Providing backup phone support for fellow Parts Coordinators.
- Managing the picking, packaging, and shipping of outgoing orders, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate.
- Maintaining a foundational knowledge of the machine tool sector and the specific product lines offered by the company.
- Demonstrating the ability to manage multiple orders and quotations simultaneously.
- Performing general office duties as required.
The ideal candidate for the Parts Coordinator role will possess a background in customer service with a strong inclination towards problem-solving. This position requires a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills, effective time management, and the capability to prioritize tasks while paying close attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including word processing and spreadsheets, is essential.
