Medical Dosimetrist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Dosimetrist to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a Medical Dosimetrist, you will play a critical role in the radiation therapy process, ensuring that patients receive accurate and effective treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient treatment planning, utilizing advanced software and equipment to create personalized treatment plans.
- Document dosimetry and treatment records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Conduct special procedures, including radioactive implants, and manage performance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless patient care and treatment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in medical dosimetry and radiation therapy, maintaining required clinical knowledge and technical skills.
- Graduate of an accredited program in medical dosimetry or radiation therapy technology.
- 1 year of experience as a full-time medical dosimetrist, including experience with treatment planning computers and record and verify systems.
- Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and certification in medical dosimetry by the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists.
- Licensure from the State of Louisiana.
