Position Overview:

Kleinfelder is seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Engineer to enhance our Water Resources and Public Works team. This role is ideal for individuals who possess strong technical, organizational, and communication abilities.

Your Role:

As a Project Engineer, you will engage with various stakeholders, including clients, sub-consultants, and team members, to ensure the successful execution of projects. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Overseeing the planning, analysis, and design tasks utilizing advanced engineering software.
  • Managing a diverse range of projects, including drainage systems, water supply, and wastewater management.
  • Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, including FEMA coordination and floodplain management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to engineers and technicians within the team.
  • Facilitate effective communication with clients and project stakeholders throughout all project phases.
  • Prepare proposals and actively participate in securing new project opportunities.
  • Engage in public involvement and stakeholder meetings to present project updates.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a focus on Water Resources or Environmental Engineering.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Possession of a Texas PE License or the ability to obtain one within six months.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and HEC-RAS.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with a commitment to professional development.
