LMI is in search of an F-35 Senior Logistics Support Specialist to assist in the transition of sustainment responsibilities for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program from the Joint Program Office to the respective branches of the military. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical and analytical assistance for the planning and execution of F-35 sustainment transfer activities.
- Oversee skilled personnel on-site, ensuring they possess the necessary technical acumen and interpersonal skills to gather, organize, analyze, and present F-35 sustainment data.
- Evaluate and implement strategies for the transition of F-35 sustainment elements related to Supply Support, Maintenance Planning, and Technical Data.
- Facilitate the integration of planning and execution of service transition efforts at the departmental level, ensuring compliance with policies and statutory requirements.
- Formulate a strategic plan and timeline for the transition of sustainment elements.
- Assess potential modifications to the F-35 program and future transitions of sustainment functions, managing data rights for each element.
- Analyze opportunities to delineate product support responsibilities among service deputies within the F-35 program framework.
- Review supply support strategies, focusing on inventory control responsibilities between the Joint Program Office and military sustainment organizations.
- Develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule, including milestones, evaluation criteria, reports, and deliverables.
- Create phased action plans, evaluate costs and benefits, and analyze implementation risks.
- Investigate existing platforms to enhance the utilization of F-35 sustainment data, improving system performance and reducing operational risks.
- Provide recommendations on sustainment metrics to ensure lifecycle management and continuous improvement of the F-35 fleet.
- Address intellectual property and technical data issues to facilitate supply support and maintenance planning.
- Support program operations, track metrics and improvements, and establish policies and procedures.
- Engage with leadership and key stakeholders to monitor progress, resolve challenges, and identify risks.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, engineering, business, or a related field.
- Extensive experience and expertise in F-35 logistics and technical domains.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in Product Support across various elements, focusing on Supply Support, Technical Data, and Maintenance Planning.
- Experience interacting with senior Department of Defense leadership.
- Proven ability to analyze customer needs and deliver technical solutions that support integrated product approaches for defense programs.
- Experience in organizing, planning, leading, and collaborating with technical and cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and writing skills for effective communication with executive leadership.
- Ability to work autonomously and produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel and SharePoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
