The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Endocrinology at Rush University Medical Center is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Endocrinologist who specializes in metabolic bone diseases, calcium, and parathyroid disorders, alongside general endocrinology and diabetes. This position offers the opportunity to become a faculty member within the Division.

The Division emphasizes a strong commitment to education, providing extensive teaching opportunities for students, residents, and fellows. The fellowship program collaborates with local hospitals, enhancing the educational experience. Candidates will have the chance to engage in the established Bone Curriculum Educational Series, which serves a variety of medical professionals and trainees.

Clinical research is a vital component of this role, with involvement in clinical trials and quality improvement studies focused on osteoporosis and fracture reduction. The practice includes a consultative inpatient service, supported by a dedicated endocrine fellow and rotating residents from various specialties.

In addition to inpatient responsibilities, the candidate will manage an outpatient clinic specializing in Bone Metabolic Disease and Mineral Disorders, supported by a skilled team of nursing and administrative staff. Opportunities for bone densitometry interpretation and educational programs are available for those certified in this area.

The role also encompasses general endocrinology and diabetes care, integrating with a busy practice that features advanced technology and a collaborative environment with other specialties. The successful candidate will contribute to both inpatient and outpatient services, ensuring comprehensive care for patients.
