Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Marketing Assistant. This is a great opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in marketing and communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in campus and event photography
  • Support the Department of Marketing & Public Relations with communications and creative projects
  • Provide program-related general support and assistance to faculty, staff, and students during class/lab activities
  • Take candid and staged photos of students participating in campus activities, attending classes, etc.
  • Upload photos to campus photo drive
  • Assist with writing, photography, graphic design, videography, event coordination, and research as needed
Requirements
  • Student must have a Federal Work Study award letter for the 2024/2025 academic year
  • Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
  • Student cannot fall below half-time (6+ units) during their employment under the FWS program
  • Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units
  • Student must have a minimum of 2.0 GPA
  • Student must have a current TB risk assessment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Students with experience in digital photography and graphic design, either as an academic major or hobby
  • Familiarity with Photoshop a plus
  • Ability to download photos to computer and use email
Working Environment

The work environment is primarily in a standard office setting. The employee must be able to work in an office setting, stand or sit for prolonged periods, and occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 25 pounds.
