Baptist Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Resident II to join our team. As a Pharmacy Resident II, you will play a critical role in providing pharmaceutical care to patients and healthcare professionals throughout our organization.
Responsibilities- Provide pharmaceutical care during all learning experiences and service components throughout the organization.
- Complete all goals and objectives and required competencies for individual learning experiences and the overall residency program.
- Act as an information resource to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug-related information and literature.
- Filling and dispensing of medication orders, including the proper handling, usage, and storage of drugs in the pharmacy.
- Maintain standards set by the department and translate policies and procedures into the daily operation of the pharmacy.
- Supervise and educate supportive personnel and students, and serve as a preceptor to pharmacy students.
- Assume supervisory responsibilities as required, including coordinating weekend and evening shifts.
- Lead and participate in the procurement, development, implementation, customization, management, evaluation, and continuous improvement of clinical information systems.
- Support the core processes involving information and knowledge delivery throughout the clinical knowledge life cycle.
- Manage medication-related information while promoting integration, interoperability, and information exchange.
- Conduct in-service education lectures for medical staff, nurses, pharmacists, students, and other healthcare personnel.
- Participate in intradepartmental communication through staff meetings and in-service attendance.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the pharmacy policy and procedure manual.
- Pursue professional growth and development.
- Satisfactorily complete all requirements for completion of the residency.
- Doctorate in Pharmacy required.
- 1-3 years of completion of postgraduate year one residency program required.
- 1-3 years of previous pharmacy informatics experience (projects/rotations) required.
- Pharmacist licensed in the State of Florida within 120 days required.
