Counselor II

As a Counselor II at Lakeview Center, you will provide high-quality, client-centered therapeutic services to adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies, and intellectual disabilities. This role requires advanced knowledge in the field of Human Services and the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in providing therapeutic services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
Serve as a consultant and mentor to Bachelor's Level Direct Care employees and Behavioral Technicians, among other staff.
Use advanced knowledge to consistently exercise discretion and independent judgment in providing therapeutic services.
Ensure services are provided and documented in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, in addition to LCI and division standards.
Requirements:
Master's Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, rehabilitation, or a related human services field.
At least two (2) years' experience working with adults who have mental health, substance abuse, and/or co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
Verification of completion of a Master's program internship at Lakeview Center, Inc., or another mental health and/or substance abuse treatment provider, through an accredited counseling program can be substituted for the two (2) years of post-graduate experience.
Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record, and be insurable under the corporate policy.
Benefits:
The salary ranges from $49,056 - $52,890 per year based on experience.
