Position Overview: We are looking for a committed Rehabilitation Medicine Specialist to enhance our healthcare team. This role offers a competitive compensation package along with a full range of benefits. The successful candidate will be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and must either possess or be willing to secure a medical license in Washington state. The focus will primarily be on adult patients, with limited pediatric cases.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage patients with diverse physical disabilities and medical conditions, including musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiovascular issues.
- Create tailored rehabilitation plans aimed at enhancing patient mobility, functionality, and overall quality of life.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, to deliver holistic patient care.
- Conduct and analyze diagnostic procedures, such as electromyography and nerve conduction tests.
- Implement therapeutic treatments, including injections and medication management, along with other non-invasive interventions.
- Provide patient education to promote health and preventive care practices.
- Maintain thorough and precise patient documentation, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Engage in continuous professional growth through Continuing Medical Education to remain informed about advancements in the field of rehabilitation medicine.
Required Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- Possession of a valid Washington state medical license or a commitment to obtain one.
- Experience in treating adult patients with rehabilitation needs, with minimal exposure to pediatric cases.
- Strong diagnostic and treatment capabilities, emphasizing a patient-centered approach.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of current practices in rehabilitation medicine.
