Position Overview: We are in search of a committed Physiatrist to enhance our healthcare team. This role presents a competitive compensation package along with a robust benefits program. The successful candidate will be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and must either possess or be prepared to obtain a medical license in Washington state. The focus will primarily be on adult patients, with limited pediatric cases.
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage patients with diverse physical disabilities and medical conditions, including musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiovascular issues.
- Create tailored rehabilitation plans aimed at enhancing patient mobility, functionality, and overall quality of life.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, to deliver holistic patient care.
- Conduct and analyze diagnostic procedures, such as electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction tests.
- Administer therapeutic treatments, including injections and medication management, as well as other non-surgical interventions.
- Provide patient education to encourage wellness and preventive health strategies.
- Maintain thorough and precise patient documentation, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Engage in continuous professional growth through Continuing Medical Education (CME) to remain updated on advancements in the field of physiatry.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- Possession of a valid Washington state medical license or readiness to acquire one.
- Experience in treating adult patients with physical rehabilitation needs, with minimal pediatric involvement.
- Strong diagnostic and treatment capabilities, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and remaining informed about the latest trends in physiatry.
