Position Overview:
Hanna is currently looking for Spanish Interpreters to function as freelance interpreters in a 1099 Independent Contractor capacity. As an interpreter, you will play a vital role in promoting language access for all individuals, regardless of their English proficiency.

Independent Contractor Role:
In this role, you will have the autonomy to manage your own schedule, set your availability, and accept assignments that fit your timetable. Appointments are typically available Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.

Compensation:
Interpreters can expect to earn between $35 and $40 per hour, based on factors such as availability, experience, and demand for the language.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess the following:

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, with a deep understanding of idiomatic expressions and cultural nuances.
  • Prior interpreting experience, preferably in medical, legal, or educational contexts.
  • Exemplary professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability in various work environments.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic communication tools.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different settings and work environments.
  • Must reside in and be authorized to work in the US (visa sponsorship is not available).
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; or certification in interpreting or related fields.

Application Process:
Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications, detailing their interpreting experience in professional or volunteer settings. Our Recruitment team will reach out to schedule a preliminary interview. If you meet the essential requirements, you will proceed to a skills assessment and background check. Qualified interpreters will then be invited to complete the onboarding process to join our linguist network.
