About the Role

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is a leading language service provider seeking a skilled Freelance ASL Interpreter to join our team of linguists. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to work on a variety of assignments and projects, utilizing your expertise in American Sign Language to facilitate communication between individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and those who use spoken language.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality interpretation services in American Sign Language for a variety of settings, including business meetings, medical appointments, and educational settings.
  • Work independently as a freelancer, setting your own schedule and accepting assignments based on your availability.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless communication and high-quality service delivery.
  • Meet the requirements for certification as a Certified ASL Professional (CASLP) or demonstrate equivalent experience and qualifications.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and the ability to interpret in a variety of settings.
  • Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various work environments.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be located in and authorized to work in the US.

  • Competitive hourly rate of $35-$45 per hour, depending on experience and availability.
