Aerothermal Test Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Aerothermal Test Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing experimental test programs, ensuring the validity and accuracy of experimental data, and communicating effectively with team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop test plans, procedures, and protocols to ensure the successful execution of experimental test programs.
- Conduct hands-on testing and troubleshooting of test articles and test facility support systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of test programs and the delivery of high-quality results.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in experimental test engineering, with a strong background in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Experience with data acquisition systems, test instrumentation equipment, and devices.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related field.
- Experience with the design and specification of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with piping systems and familiarity with associated Power Piping Code.
- Experience with Labview programming and MS-Visio for P&ID generation.
- Experience creating and editing drawings in CAD/Solidworks.
