Job Summary

We are seeking an Associate Chief Nursing Officer to support executive-level management of resources, strategic planning, and development of policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have operational and functional responsibility for a group of patient care areas and/or special projects or initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Chief Nursing Officer in executive-level management of resources and strategic planning.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure congruence with the mission and vision of the organization.
  • Have operational and functional responsibility for a group of patient care areas and/or special projects or initiatives.
  • Develop communication, knowledge, leadership, professionalism, and business skills necessary to advance to a Chief Nursing Officer.
Requirements
  • Minimum Ten (10) years of progressive experience in nursing or clinical, including a minimum of seven (7) years in a management and/or leadership role within hospital operations.
  • Strong communication, presentation, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Significant leadership experience in regulatory surveys and Magnet designation or re-designation surveys.
  • Knowledge of healthcare environment, including federal and state regulations, The Joint Commission, Florida Healthcare administration, and Nurse Practice Act.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in leadership role at a Cancer Center, Magnet Designated hospital, university, or academic cancer center.
Education
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare; Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN); Ph.D. in Nursing, Healthcare, or Business; or DNP.
Licensure/Certification
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
