Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct spiritual support and counsel to patients and families, taking into account their individual beliefs and values.
  • Work with staff, clergy, and community groups to enhance their understanding of the spiritual needs of patients and families.
  • Offer consultation and education to patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members on spiritual care and bereavement support.
  • Maintain accurate records of visits to patients and families.
  • Participate in occasional liturgical assignments, such as memorial services and other spiritual events.
Requirements
  • Ordination or ecclesiastical endorsement from a recognized denomination.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with patients and families dealing with life-threatening illness and death.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Understanding of issues related to delivery of home care services.
  • Ability to function efficiently and positively in a high-stress environment.
