Key Responsibilities- Provide direct spiritual support and counsel to patients and families, taking into account their individual beliefs and values.
- Work with staff, clergy, and community groups to enhance their understanding of the spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Offer consultation and education to patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members on spiritual care and bereavement support.
- Maintain accurate records of visits to patients and families.
- Participate in occasional liturgical assignments, such as memorial services and other spiritual events.
- Ordination or ecclesiastical endorsement from a recognized denomination.
- Demonstrated experience in working with patients and families dealing with life-threatening illness and death.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Understanding of issues related to delivery of home care services.
- Ability to function efficiently and positively in a high-stress environment.
