Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Senior Space Acquisition Analyst to join our team, focusing on Financial Management Analysis (FMA) for the Space Systems Command (SSC) Command Staff. This role is integral to the financial oversight of the SSC's space acquisition portfolio.
Compensation:
- The full salary range for this position is $162,000 to $178,000 annually.
- Starting salary will be determined based on the candidate's expertise, skills, and available budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Government in managing all facets of the SSC space acquisition financial portfolio.
- Engage in Program Objective Memorandum (POM), Program Budget Review (PBR), Planning Choices, and execution year financial management.
- Utilize critical thinking and analytical skills to navigate various stages of Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE).
- Oversee monitoring, forecasting, reporting, and executing active year investments and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) appropriations.
- Plan and execute comprehensive financial reviews, fund analysis, allocation, and distribution.
Financial Review Activities Include:
- Fall and Spring Program Reviews
- Investment Budget Review
- Baseline Execution Review (BER)
- Mid-year Execution Review (MER)
- Program Management Reviews (PMRs)
Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret security clearance is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of proven acquisition experience is required.
- In-depth knowledge of laws, principles, policies, and practices related to systems acquisition and program management.
- Experience with the federal acquisition process and a strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Background in systems procurement or the ability to comprehend underlying requirements.
Additional Requirements:
- Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Higher Headquarters, Air Force, and Space Force processes and procedures.
- Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely.
- Proficient in drafting acquisition and technical documentation.
Working Conditions:
- On-site performance is required, with occasional travel.
- Ability to lift over 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Regular travel across the base and transporting equipment may be necessary.
