Respiratory Therapist Job Opportunity

Scheurer Health, a critical access rural hospital, is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the Respiratory Therapy Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments to develop age-specific care plans.
  • Administer oxygen and aerosol therapy, including medicated and non-medicated treatments.
  • Perform Arterial Blood Gases, Pulse Oximetry, Electrocardiograms, and operate/maintain corresponding equipment.
  • Conduct Holter Monitoring and Stress Tests.
  • Provide resuscitation techniques, including airway maintenance, assist patient ventilation, and circulation maintenance.
  • Transport patients of all ages.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy education program.
  • Pass the National Board for Respiratory Care examination.
  • Licensure through the State of Michigan.
  • Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS), and one year of experience.
  • Ability to work on-call shifts.
